IACCM and Emptoris Offer Seminars on Contract Management in Paris, Frankfurt and London: "Contract Management and the Role of Technology in Achieving Improved Business Results"

LONDON--(Marketwire - March 20, 2008) - Emptoris, a leading provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, in conjunction with the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM), will present a series of seminars on "Contract Management and the Role of Technology in Achieving Improved Business Results." The seminars will take place in April in Paris, Frankfurt and London -- and will include presentations by leaders from organizations such as IACCM, Cisco Systems, IBM, Syngenta AG, Emptoris and the London School of Economics.

"For the legal and contracts professional, the globally networked economy has brought with it increased complexity, a growing workload, and heightened pressure to drive compliance, reduce cycle times and improve decision-making," said Tim Cummins, Executive Director of the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM). "This series of European seminars will bring together executives, practitioners and industry experts to share insights, experiences and best practices in applying people, processes and technology to address these challenges."

Professionals who attend the IACCM European seminars on contract management will discover:

-- The role that technology can play in enabling greater visibility and
    control over contract management and compliance;
-- How to achieve heightened business value and visibility with senior
    executive management with contract management technologies;
-- The range of solutions that the modern Legal, Procurement and Contract
    Management group may consider;
-- Examples and case studies that examine best practices -- and describe
    both the opportunities and challenges of automation.

Seminars will be held in Frankfurt, Germany on April 2nd, 2008; in Paris, France on April 17th; and in London, UK on April 22nd.

Frankfurt: Presenting in Frankfurt will be Christof Hofner, Contract & Negotiation Management Lead at IBM Germany; Stefan Heyer, Sr Corporate Counsel at Cisco Systems Inc.; Pauline King, Purchasing Global SRM Manager at Syngenta AG; and Kai Schwab, Director of Solutions for Central Europe at Emptoris.

Paris: Presenting in Paris will be Tim Cummins, CEO of IACCM; Amelie de Marsily, Managing Attorney at Cisco Systems, Inc.; and Philippe Courregelongue, Director of Consulting with Emptoris.

London: Presenting in London will be Tim Cummins, CEO of IACCM; Richard Given, Director of Legal Services, UK & Emerging Markets for Cisco Systems; Carrie Paris of the London School of Economics; and Ammiel Kamon, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management with Emptoris.

The average Global 2000 company has more than 20,000 active corporate contracts and IACCM research shows that average workload for contract managers has increased by more than 14% over the last 4 years, while cycle times for complex contracts have risen by almost 20%. However, research and case studies definitively show that technology can bring significant benefits in managing contracts and reducing risks, costs and cycle times -- while increasing compliance and speeding revenue.
