CANTON, OH--(Marketwire - Oct 22, 2012) - The International Association of IT Asset Managers will host two separate industry conferences next year in the Spring and Fall. The Spring IAITAM Conference will be held in Houston at the Royal Sonesta Hotel from April 16 - 18, 2013 and the fall IAITAM Conference will be held in St. Pete, FL at the Tradewinds Island Resorts from October 15 - 17, 2013.
"This year, nearly 1,000 CIOs, VP of IT and senior IT executives from Fortune 500 to mid-size organizations attended the IAITAM 2012 Annual Conference & Exhibition and we remain the largest global IT asset management event in the world," said Barbara Rembiesa, CEO of IAITAM. "We are thrilled at the energy, enthusiasm, and the sheer number and quality of attendees. We have also seen a significant increase of international attendees."
"The appeal of IAITAM's conferences has been the level of one-on-one or small group interactions during the events every year. Neither IAITAM nor the conference attendees wanted to lose that level of intimacy. Our solution was to create two annual conferences with complementary content and individual locations that cater to the various North American regions as well as our international members. Both locations are major U.S. cities that are easily reachable."
Highlights from this year's conference include:
- Speakers included Cargill, Discover Financial Services, Federation Aviation Administration (FAA); Highlights for Children, Loyola University Maryland, Marriott International, Ohio Health, Old National Bank and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
- Nearly 60 IT Asset Management product and service providers exhibiting at the event.
- Microsoft's Global Manager of SAM Programs gave a keynote about how Microsoft is helping customers meet Software Asset Management challenges.
