Ian Allen to Release Nova's Lounge Tomorrow

Launch of lineman's first CD will be held at Newtown

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 23, 2006) - Montreal guard Ian Allen will release his first album, Nova's Lounge, tomorrow evening at the Newtown resto bar (1476 Crescent St.) as part of a launch party starting at 8 p.m.

Allen has had a passion for music since the age of six. "Whenever I had a chance to play DJ, I would. It was a lot of fun," he said. With that, he began playing the saxophone in the sixth grade and his musical talents have developed from there.

"I first heard lounge music in Scotland and Paris and I fell in love with it. It's inspiring and helps me to relax and think. As soon as I heard it, I knew it was the kind of music I wanted to make."

"I have two passions in life: music and football," Allen said. "I have always dreamed of coming out with an album, so I'm very excited for tomorrow to come!"

The album will go on sale earlier that night as Allen will be signing autographs at the Archambault music store (500 Sainte-Catherine East) from 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow. Allen's fans will also be able to obtain Nova's Lounge at HMV, Chapters and other fine music stores.
