"We are thrilled to launch IANS Southeast Information Security Forum in Atlanta, the business capital of the South. As home to Fortune 500 organizations such as The Home Depot, UPS, Coca-Cola Company and UPS, Atlanta is a crossroads of commerce. We look forward to hosting and exchanging information security ideas with the region's best IT security and business executives," said Phil Gardner, co-founder and chief executive officer, IANS.

Broad and Deep Agenda
The Southeast Information Security Forum Agenda is designed to help enterprises deal with today's most pressing issues and stay ahead of tomorrow's challenges. Tracks include:

  • Information Protection in a Borderless World
  • Security 2.0: The Proactive Security Organization
  • Next Generation Security Operations
  • Strategy 2.0: Anticipating Legislation, Mitigating Risk

"IANS Forums are where the latest in information technology and IT risk management gets down to business. We're excited to showcase and share our expertise with business and IT security leaders across the South. Best practices, benchmarking studies, trend analyses and practical insights are provided by professionals who actually implement infosec initiatives, not just write about the subject," said Dave Shackleford, Senior Vice President of Research and Chief Technology Officer, IANS. "Peer interaction in dedicated, focused sessions -- not just at receptions or breaks -- makes IANS' approach unique among industry research firms."

During his keynote, James Robertson, Vice President of Technology Infrastructure and Broadcast Transmission Turner Broadcasting System, will explore how the cloud, mobile devices in the enterprise, and security's ROI affects one of the largest media companies in the world and how to embrace the apparent erosion of traditional control methodologies to realize an improved security posture.

Hart Rossman, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Cyber Security Services & Solutions at SAIC, has more than a decade of specialized technical experience in the field of information assurance and cyber security. He will moderate all sessions in the Security 2.0: The Proactive Security Organization track, including "Building a Proactive Security Process," "Managing Bring Your Own Device to Work Programs," "Incident Response," and "Developing Good and Meaningful Metrics That Matter."
