Intermodal Industry Veteran John Allen to Provide a Thought-Provoking View of Chassis Costs Today

The discussion, titled, "How Much Does a Chassis Cost? The Math of Chassis Economics," takes place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Debate exists on whether the new chassis-provisioning model has simply shifted the cost of chassis usage to different industry players or if it has increased costs for most participants in the different pools as a result of new process implications. Attendees at this presentation will be provided a compelling look at the true costs of chassis operations in the new chassis market and learn how this can be a new revenue source for many intermodal operators.

John Allen is an intermodal industry veteran with years of experience working in leadership positions managing ocean, rail, and transportation logistics. He graduated from Princeton University with an AB Degree in Economics and received an MS in Transportation from the University of Denver. John speaks frequently at industry conferences on topics regarding dispatch and chassis management.
