IASA Seeks Industry Proposals for 2013 Annual Educational Conference Sessions

DURHAM, NC--(Marketwire - Jul 2, 2012) - Each year, IASA asks members, associate members and insurance industry experts to contribute ideas and expertise to the program for the association's Annual Educational Conference via a Call for Papers process which opened this year on July 1.

Through the Call for Papers process, the association will accept submissions to be evaluated for possible inclusion in the educational offerings at the 2013 IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Show. Individuals, member companies, associate members and industry volunteers are encouraged to submit potential topics and suggested speakers on the IASA website, www.iasa.org, via the "Call for Papers" link. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2012.

The 2013 IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Show will be held in Washington, DC, June 2-5. This annual event attracts more than 2,000 accounting, technology, operations and financial services professionals who work for, or are affiliated with, the insurance industry. IASA 2013 will again provide educational sessions in three main categories: Accounting, Risk Management & Finance (A.R.F.), Technology (TECH) and Career Skills Development (C.S.D.). For a list of the 2012 sessions presented during the recent San Diego event, please click on the 2012 Conference link on the IASA home page.

IASA strives to enhance the knowledge of insurance industry professionals, and participants from similar organizations closely allied with the insurance industry, by facilitating the exchange of ideas and information. As a result, the goal for these presentations is to provide attendees with an opportunity to learn by sharing real-life examples from leaders within the insurance and financial services industries. Submissions must include participation from insurance company professionals to be considered for inclusion in the 2013 program.

The following details must be included with each submission:

  • A clear and concise presentation title;
  • A short, informative session abstract;
  • Basic learning objectives for attendees; and
  • Contact information for the submitter.

Submissions that are selected for inclusion will be announced in November of this year to give all scheduled presenters time to prepare for the 2013 Washington conference.
