IBM Distinguished Engineer Joins

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - August 15, 2007) -, the leader in Innovation Pipeline Management (IPM) software, announced today that Luis Ostdiek has joined the company as executive vice president of Technology. Mr. Ostdiek joins from IBM where he was the youngest-ever technologist to be named a Distinguished Engineer. While at IBM, he served as chairman of the Architecture Board and worked closely with eBay and Linden Labs, the creators of Second Life. At, Mr. Ostdiek will oversee the Advanced Technology and Infrastructure Groups, while working closely with a rapidly expanding list of nearly 300 customers.

During his eleven-year tenure at IBM, Mr. Ostdiek was promoted to the position of CTO of the elite High Performance on Demand Solutions (HiPODS) group. As part of this role, he advised IBM executives and clients on the impact of Web 2.0 technologies in the workplace. As IBM's chief architect to eBay, he developed solutions that allowed the online auction site to scale from 20 million to over 200 million users. In addition, five patents have been filed on Mr. Ostdiek's work on highly scalable systems.

Luis will oversee the build-out of's new datacenter initiative, and will also work with key clients on the role of Innovation software in their Web 2.0/Enterprise 2.0 roadmaps. He will work out of the San Francisco office and report directly to the President and CEO, Matt Greeley.
