IBM Holds Top Ranking in Worldwide Server Revenue in First Quarter 2005 Year-to-Year

Analyst Firm Reports IBM #1 in Worldwide Blade Server 1Q05 Revenue; Gains in Worldwide UNIX-based Server Revenue Share Year-to-Year

ARMONK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 27, 2005 -- IDC reported today that in first quarter 2005, IBM maintained the number one server vendor position based on worldwide revenue and is number one in blade server-based revenue in the first quarter of 2005(1).

Highlights from IDC include:

    share for the seventh consecutive quarter ending 1Q05.
