IC Places Transformation Translates Into Consistent Growth

WINTER PARK, FL--(Marketwire - Jun 24, 2011) - IC Places, Inc. (OTCQB: ICPA) -- Today IC Places announced it has added new social media and translation features to its network of 350 city-based websites.

The company launched new translations functions to its sites this week. The feature will allow site visitors to translate complete pages of the site with a single button click into one of twelve languages. All written stories and menus translate with a single click allowing for greater access to visitors from around the globe. Since adding the translation feature to the websites, the company has seen an increase in daily traffic and advertising revenues from outside the U.S.

Social Interaction and Sharing

IC Places has added social media functionality to its sites that allow users to easily share stories with friends through various social media networks. Now, when a visitor is reading a story, all they need to do is click the main image from the story and a menu appears with the option to share the story via Facebook, Google, Twitter or print the story, email it or add it to their favorites. Tracking the results of the new sharing features since being added has shown a steady increase in traffic from social network sources.

As IC Places has added features and functions to its network of city websites over the last several months, the company has seen a steady increase in traffic and daily advertising revenues. The largest leaps in traffic have occurred in the month of June 2011.

"There are two major factors that we can attribute the recent growth to," said Steven Samblis President of IC Places, Inc. "The launch of our new 1st Look - Red Carpet shows and new advanced features in the sites which enhances global access and sharing across the social media landscape. Our business model is simple at its core. The more people that come to our sites the more income we generate from advertising. The moment someone steps onto one of our sites we generate an ad dollar. If we continue to create entertaining content that people want to see and make sure our sites are fluid and easy to navigate, traffic will grow and in turn advertising revenues will increase."
