Iciena Ventures Inc.: Ground Geophysical Survey Defines New Kimberlite Targets-Drill Rig Mobilized

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 4, 2005) - Iciena Ventures Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:IIE) announces that it has completed a ground magnetic survey on its Paranatinga Diamond Project in west central Brazil. Magnetic survey identified new kimberlite targets in the southeast portion of 175,000 hectare property in close proximity to historic alluvial diamonds discoveries made during the 1960's. As a result of the positive results from the ground magnetic surveying, the Company has mobilized a drill rig with drill testing expected to commence in late November. The Company's exploration activities were initiated on the Paranatinga Property in the Fall of 2005 utilizing Mineracao Sucunduri Ldta. as the project operator.

Mineracao Sucunduri Ltda. has been conducting exploration activities on the project since the fall of 2003, prior to its acquisition by the Company. Historic work consisted of airborne magnetic surveying being flown followed by the deployment of a reverse circulation drill to test a myriad of targets consistent with the magnetic signatures of kimberlite pipes. The historic program met with early success as the first two drill holes penetrated into kimberlitic rock in two proximal but mutually exclusive targets separated by 700m. Microprobe analyses of members of the diamond indicator mineral suite extracted from the drill holes proved a suite of G9 type garnets that may contain metasomatized G10 garnets. The presence G10 type garnets are statistically indicative of a diamondiferous kimberlite host. The foregoing information is summary in nature and readers are directed to review the National Instrument 43-101 technical report filed on sedar.

Iciena Ventures Inc. (the "Company") is an exploration and mineral development company listed on the Canadian TSX Venture Exchange (TSX VENTURE:IIE) with a commanding 175,000 hectare property position in the Paranatinga diamond kimberlite field of Brazil that contains more than 40 known kimberlite pipes. The Company acquired a 100% interest in Mineracao Sucunduri Ltda., a Brazilian private company that owned the Paranatinga Diamond Project in west central Brazil.

The Company also holds an undivided 20% interest in more than 120,000 hectares in the Batovi Property operated by Chuck Fipke which adjoins the Company's Paranatinga Property. Dr. Fipke acquired his interest in the Batovi Property in March 2002 and has been conducting extensive proprietary mineral chemistry research on diamonds and indicator minerals collected from the drainages in the district.
