ICNet Recognized by KLAS as a High Performer in Infection Surveillance Software

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Nov 22, 2013) - In its debut appearance in the KLAS Report analysis of vendors of automated infection control software, ICNet Systems achieved a high rating, earning a 93.0 on overall performance. The company, which has 1,200 hospital customers globally, is a relatively recent entrant in the U.S. market, which led KLAS to classify its results as preliminary in its new report, Infection Control 2013: High Performers Abound.

On a KLAS chart, ICNet outperformed the market average on every performance area, including service and support, implementation and training, sales and contracting, functionality and upgrades, as well as overall rating. All of ICNet's customers surveyed responded that the company is part of their long-term plans and that they would buy the product again.

"Though preliminary data, ICNet was the only vendor to stand out when it came to money's worth and innovation," KLAS said in its report. "This can be attributed to ICNet's forward-looking vision in areas like meaningful use. ICNet is the only infection control vendor approved by the (Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology) to date for the Stage 2 syndromic-surveillance Meaningful Use objectives. And KLAS has validated customers that are already using these capabilities. Customers also feel they are getting good value, as the product is working well and customers get phenomenal attention from the vendor."

For the report, KLAS interviewed 224 providers from across the United States, who gave feedback on multiple criteria, including overall performance, provider perception, functionality and product quality.

Customer reviews cited in the report include:

  • "The customer service from ICNet is outstanding. We feel like they are our friends. We know all of them on a first-name basis, and if we ever need to escalate our issues, the president of the company will even get involved. The customer service is way beyond our expectations, especially in today's world. It is really good. ICNet is really responsive if we need them."

  • "ICNet only generates cases based on positive microbiology results for organisms we have deemed significant. However, we do have the option of manually generating cases based on syndromic-surveillance reports."

  • "The company is very helpful when something isn't going right, and the system is very useful for our daily (multidrug-resistant organism) surveillance and monthly mandatory reporting to (the federal government)."

"ICNet is proud to be recognized by our customers as the highest ranked company in clinical decision support software for infection surveillance and antibiotic stewardship to prevent adverse events," said ICNet Systems CEO Adam Boris. "We represent the missing link in Big Data, providing real-time information for clinical staff that an electronic medical record cannot, alerting them to high-risk patients to prevent adverse events, not just analyze and report on incidents after they occur. We also have the ability to integrate and present the data across a healthcare organization in a single view. We believe the KLAS report is great validation that we are on the right track."
