iCracked Expands to Japan in First-Ever Retail Venture

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwired - December 03, 2015) - iCracked, the world's largest on-demand repair, trade-in and protection service for smartphones, has announced it is expanding into Japan. This will be the company's first-ever retail venture in partnership with Japanese conglomerate Hikari Tsushin.

iCracked has built a network of over 4,000 certified, trained and expertly-skilled independent professionals worldwide in under five years. These micro-entrepreneurs, known as iTechs, are dispatched with the click of a button to respond to on-demand repair requests in their local area. The launch in Japan, however, will provide a custom brand experience through an iCracked storefront in the heart of Tokyo.

"Japan is one of the strongest iOS markets in the world, and no company has successfully established itself as a trusted brand. Our unrivaled knowledge of the space matched with Hikari's extensive and prosperous retail experience will equip us to build a world-class experience for customers," said Anthony Martin, co-founder and Chief of Strategy at iCracked.

Opening Dec. 4 in Tokyo, the iCracked storefront will provide customers with immediate, quality smartphone repair. iCracked has trained and equipped a fleet of iTechs in Japan to uphold the same quality of customer service and repair expertise through this new extension of its brand. iCracked aims to be the dominant repair and protection company and establish a trusted, well-recognized brand.

iCracked launched full-scale operations throughout the United Kingdom and Germany in 2014, opening offices in both London and Berlin, which now account for 10% of worldwide repairs. The launch of Japan is the company's first retail initiative, and will determine the roadmap for rapid expansion into other markets.
