iCrossing Hires Two Executive Creative Directors to Lead Client Creative in San Francisco Office

Andrew Schmeling and Chris Gatewood Bring Award-Winning Creative Chops to Digital Agency

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 21, 2012) - iCrossing, a global digital marketing agency, named Andrew Schmeling and Chris Gatewood as VP, executive creative directors, to lead the creative offering in the agency's San Francisco office.

Schmeling and Gatewood will lead creative teams for clients such as Williams-Sonoma, AAA and Chevron. They will also collaborate on cross-office creative initiatives.

The addition of Schmeling and Gatewood is part of an expansion of iCrossing's creative team that included the appointment of Pat Stern, a former executive creative director at R/GA, as global chief creative officer last year.

Schmeling and Gatewood have worked together as a creative team for almost ten years. Most recently, they worked at TEAK Digital where they led digital, social and branded content creative for clients such as Google, Snapfish and Disney Parks. Prior to that, while at Isobar (formerly Freestyle), Schmeling and Gatewood won multiple awards for EA and EA Sports, including the One Show, Cannes, Best of Show at ad:tech and an Effie.

Schmeling began his career in digital design and advertising at Xeno Group. He graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design with a B.A. in advertising. Gatewood entered the digital advertising industry with a position at Red Sky Interactive. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in history and a minor in communications and journalism.
