IDG Enterprise Appoints Bob Melk SVP, Group Publisher & Chief Marketing Officer

New Position Highlights Importance of Marketing Services in Today's Media Market


FRAMINGHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Oct 26, 2011) - IDG Enterprise -- the media company comprising CFOworld, CIO, CIO Executive Council, Computerworld, CSO, DEMO, InfoWorld, ITworld and Network World -- announces the addition of CMO to Bob Melk's title, naming him SVP, Group Publisher & CMO. This promotion recognizes the value Melk brings to the organization through on-going initiatives as well as innovative approaches to new projects. Melk serves IDG Enterprise's advertising audience -- technology, security and financial marketers -- with the creation of results oriented integrated programs. In the CMO role his responsibilities include marketing services, customer communications, strategic marketing programs and brand management.

Joining IDG in 2004 as Vice President Sales & Integrated Solutions for CIO, Melk quickly moved up through the sales organization and added strategic marketing responsibilities in 2007, emphasizing the need for sales and marketing alignment. Melk led the integrated field sales, marketing, and editorial teams for the CIO brand during its evolution to a digital-centric media company. He added integrated sales responsibilities for the Computerworld, CSO and Network World brand portfolios to his role in April 2009 when he was named Senior Vice President and Group Publisher. As CMO, Melk has marketing responsibilities for all media brands within the IDG Enterprise portfolio.
