IdleAire Technologies Selects FileKeeper Enterprise to Protect Critical Data Stored on Its Growing Network

Rapidly Growing Technology Firm Extends Disaster Recovery Strategy Down to the Desktop While Lowering IT Operating Costs and Improving End-User Satisfaction

KNOXVILLE, TN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 29, 2005 --FileKeeper, Inc. today announced that IdleAire Technologies, winner of the 2003 R&D 100 Award and EPA's 2004 Clean Air Excellence Award, has selected FileKeeper Enterprise to provide continuous data protection for information stored on its rapidly growing enterprise network.

IdleAire is a Knoxville, Tennessee-based technology firm that provides air conditioning, power, Internet access and entertainment to long haul drivers inside the truck cab while parked overnight at travel plazas, distribution centers and seaports. IdleAire's innovative service module approach allows drivers to turn their engines off while parked, helping to save on fuel costs, avoid engine wear and reduce air pollution while improving the driver's working and resting environment.

"Our goal is to deploy service modules to the over 3,800 travel centers and other locations in North America where long-haul trucks congregate and idle for extended periods," said Jon Duren, Chief Technical Officer for IdleAire Technologies. "I am responsible for designing a scalable, secure infrastructure necessary to achieve this mission." One of Jon's key challenges is how to back up the large amount of proprietary data created by IdleAire's Technologies mobile sales force and remote office users.

FileKeeper provides IdleAire with a centrally managed solution to back up documents created by its corporate staff, mobile sales force and remote office users. Documents are immediately backed up as they are created or updated. In addition, the previous versions of those documents are automatically retained. FileKeeper allows IdleAire's users to restore their own documents (including the previous versions of their documents), without having to involve IdleAire's IT support staff. Users are able to restore their files while they are in the office, connected to IdleAire's network, and while they are on the road, disconnected from the network.

"We chose FileKeeper because it offered the most comprehensive data protection solution for our environment," said Duren. "FileKeeper enables IdleAire to create auditable, centrally managed policies governing data retention, and then enforce those policies enterprise wide. Before FileKeeper, we were lucky if our users followed corporate policy and manually copied their critical files to our corporate file servers. Today, we know the data will be there, it's secure, and our users can restore the files themselves without tying up our limited IT staff or involving complex file restore procedures."

"We're thrilled that IdleAire has chosen to add FileKeeper as a standard component of its rapidly growing network," said Ken Cross, President and CEO of FileKeeper, Inc. "We believe that FileKeeper will help IdleAire lower its help desk operating costs while significantly improving data protection and security as they grow their network."
