IDO Security Announces Delivery of Additional MagShoe Units to Large International Cruise Line

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 27, 2009) - IDO Security, Inc. (OTCBB: IDOI) (, developer of the innovative MagShoe™ "shoes-on" weapons metal detection system, today announced sales of additional MagShoe units to a large, U.S. based International cruise line. The MagShoe units are to be used in cargo holds to help prevent theft of items like jewelry and other metal valuables as well as for passenger security. In addition to previous stated uses of the MagShoe for metallic weapons detection, the MagShoe also serves the purpose of Loss Prevention by preventing theft and smuggling of metallic valuables in shoes and work boots. "We are extremely pleased to place more MagShoe units with a major cruise line. Theft has been a problem on occasion with cruise lines because they not only transport people but goods as well in the cargo holds. With the MagShoe devices in place in the cargo holds, anyone leaving these areas will have to encounter the MagShoe," stated Michael Goldberg, Acting CEO of IDO Security, Inc.

"Typically people with sticky fingers departing from these areas hide things like watches, rings and other valuables in their shoes and socks. The MagShoe is virtually foolproof and performs with near 100 percent accuracy in the ankle and foot area. Even things hidden inside shoes cannot escape detection. I think this illustrates clearly that the MagShoe has a variety of different uses and is not just for airport, building and event security. Loss Prevention is a significant purpose for the MagShoe," Goldberg went on to say.

About IDO Security

Headquartered in New York with a subsidiary in Israel, IDO Security designs, develops and markets the patented MagShoe™ weapons metal detection system. MagShoe addresses a key vulnerability in walkthrough metal detectors and other screening technologies; other technologies stop just above the ankles when scanning for concealed weapons. MagShoe, a portable, user-friendly device, extends metal detection to include the lower extremities, covering everything from four inches above the ankles to the bottoms of the feet -- without requiring passengers to remove their shoes, thanks to a patented "step-on" design.
