IDO Security to Conduct Pilot Program in Illinois Prison Facility

MagShoe to Be Exhibited at ACA Conference of Corrections in Denver, Colorado

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Jul 20, 2012) - IDO Security Inc. (OTCBB: IDOI) developer of the innovative MagShoe™ shoe scanning device (SSD), today announced that the Company is demonstrating the MagShoe at an Illinois prison facility as a pilot program for Illinois officials to confirm the effectiveness of the MagShoe to combat the penetration of cellular phones, electronic devices and weapons that have been a known concern in correctional facilities across the U.S.

The pilot program comes as a result of the joint marketing efforts of the Company and its U.S. distributor, JEI, Inc., who presented the MagShoe earlier this year at the ACA Winter Conference held in Phoenix, AZ. Seeing a demand to increase security in the U.S. correctional facility market, the Company has launched a pilot program targeting correctional facilities across the country.

The MagShoe is being exhibited (booth #232) this upcoming week at the 142nd Congress of Corrections in Denver, Colorado, hosted by the American Correctional Association. The conference features several workshops as well as an industry-wide exhibition and distinguished keynote speakers. Attendees include officials from Departments of Correction from states across the nation, as well as service providers and producers that cater to the corrections industry.

The American Correctional Association (ACA) is the oldest and largest international correctional association in the world. Known as the "world-wide authority" in corrections, the ACA is widely considered the primary professional association in the corrections industry. ACA serves all disciplines within the corrections profession, representing more than 20,000 active members nationwide. The association offers professional development and certification services, as well as standards, accreditation, networking and consulting opportunities, research and publications, conferences, exhibitions, and technology and testing for corrections agencies.

"This pilot program demonstrates that there is a need for the MagShoe in our correctional facilities here in the U.S. Illinois has taken the lead in testing the effectiveness of the MagShoe in correctional facilities against some of the most commonly smuggled items from visitors to the inmates, such as cellphones and weapons. We are confident that the officials will not only find the MagShoe effective but also easy to incorporate into any existing security checkpoint," stated Michael Goldberg, President of IDO Security. "We also look forward to demonstrating the MagShoe's innovative technology at the ACA Conference to many more officials from departments of correction across the country as we look to expand our footprint here in the U.S."
