IE Discovery's BRIDGE Provides Charities With Volunteer Service Hours, Financial Support

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - October 6, 2010) -  IE Discovery, a leading provider of comprehensive Discovery Management solutions to the legal community, has announced the results of its "BRIDGE" volunteer program for Fiscal 2010. During the year, IE Discovery employees completed 2140 hours of service and the company donated $7,590 in BRIDGE funds. The largest awards were presented to the A Wider Circle, Love a Child, USO Metro and the Washington Legal Clinic.

The program grew substantially from 2009, with 44 organizations supported -- an increase of more than 25%. The financial contributions also increased almost 14% from 2009. "At a moment when many need help, our BRIDGE program provided more volunteers, reached more charities and donated more money," said Chris May CEO of IE Discovery. "Our employees really stepped up in these difficult times."

One organization that benefited from the program was the American Hungarian Foundation, whose mission is to support people of Hungarian descent on both sides of the Atlantic. Currently, the AHF is assisting the recovery from the Summer 2010 flooding in Hungary as well as ensuring human and minority rights issues. "Thank you, IE Discovery, for helping us strengthen democratic institutions, act as a watchdog for human and minority rights, and help those in need," said Bryan Dawson, Project Manager at IE Discovery and Chairman of the AHF Executive Committee.

IE Discovery's BRIDGE program encourages its employees to support whatever charitable organization they wish by volunteering, and also provides a company-sponsored pool of money for various community needs. The pool is funded based upon the number of hours of community service performed, with $20 contributed for each hour (up to 12 hours per employee per year). Each employee may allocate half his or her annual BRIDGE funds to any charitable organization and the remainder is pooled and distributed at year-end by the BRIDGE committee. The program has resulted in 3702 contributed hours and raised a total of $14,260 since its inception in 2008.
