IEC Earns Qualified Manufacturer Certification From IPC

NEWARK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 20, 2014) - IEC Electronics Corp. (NYSE MKT: IEC) announced that its Newark, New York and Albuquerque, New Mexico facilities have been awarded the first IPC-J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) under IPC's Validation Services Program. In addition, IEC Electronics' testing laboratory, Dynamic Research and Testing Laboratories (DRTL) in Albuquerque has been certified as an IPC-approved Validation Services Test Laboratory.

IPC President and CEO John Mitchell will present certificates to IEC Electronics during the Opening Keynote Session at IPC APEX EXPO® on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

IEC's Newark and Albuquerque facilities were the first sites to undergo IPC's Validation Services assessment/audit which is based on IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Class 3 requirements. The company will be listed as an IPC-trusted source on IPC's online QML list.

The Company was among the first in the industry to participate in IPC's new Validations Services QPL/QML Program which was launched in 2013. Developed to promote supply chain verification, the program provides auditing and certification of electronics companies' products and processes which conform to IPC standards through third-party testing.
