Adhoc "Party": January 2; Free Trial Opportunity and Daily Challenge: December 19 - January 1

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - December 17, 2009) - Leading LAN center organization iGames announced today that 12 LAN centers in the United States will host special gaming gatherings to celebrate Monster Hunter Freedom Unite™, the latest installment in Capcom's wildly popular Monster Hunter franchise.

On January 2, gamers across the country are invited to visit a participating LAN center to experience the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system social gaming phenomenon at a Monster Hunter Freedom Unite™ adhoc "Party". Gamers will form hunting teams across the participating LAN centers to battle monsters through Sony's new adhoc Party, which allows PSP system users to connect to multiplayer games wirelessly via a PlayStation® 3 computer entertainment system.

Party attendees will receive free food and drinks, and will get the chance to snag a share of $10,000 in total prizing, including Sony Style gift cards, Monster Hunter t-shirts, copies of the game, and the national grand prize: a $1,000 Sony Style gift card.

In preparation for the big gathering, Monster Hunters can try out the game and hone their skills from December 19 - January 1, when each of the LAN centers will be running a free trial showcase and challenging gamers to complete a daily in-game obstacle for the chance to win a PSP system and a copy of the game.
