Igantia Launches Mobile Application Allowing Women to Track Hot Flashes and Menstrual Cycles

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2015) - Igantia Founder, Sohila Zadran, Ph.D, announced today the launch of Igantia's mobile application allowing women to track hot flashes and menstruation cycles on Google Play. The mobile application is the first on the market combining the ability to track hot flash events and menstrual cycles.

Igantia, a San Francisco-based biotechnology company, is examining the female biological clock in the hopes of discovering a viable option to extend the human lifespan. By releasing a global mobile application for women to track hot flash events and menstrual dynamics in real time, Igantia is crowdsourcing scientific data in real time, using the information to gear its therapeutic development.

"When Igantia was founded, we noticed a lack of digital health technologies for aging women. Unfortunately, menopause and menstruation are commonly overlooked in the science and health community," said Dr. Sohila Zadran. "We developed this application to not only provide women with answers about their age related milestones, but to also better understand menopause and menstruation and the biological components that control them."

The Igantia mobile application is equipped with the following features:

  • Track geographic location when hot flashes occur.
  • Duration of hot flash event.
  • Time of occurrence.
  • Strength of hot flash.
  • Tracks menstrual flow.
  • Menstruation side effects.
  • Cramping intensity.
  • Blood Flow during Menses

The Igantia mobile application is now available on Google Play.
