Ignited Minds Dares You to Enter the Office Octagon

MARINA DEL REY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 19, 2005 -- In an effort to promote Spike TV's reality show, "The Ultimate Fighter 2," Marina Del Rey agency Ignited Minds has created an online fighting game called "The Office Octagon" (www.officeoctagon.com). Like Ultimate Fighting, the game pits two opponents against one another to test their toughness. But instead of throwing punches, the combatants trade awkward confessions, incriminating pictures and embarrassing audio insults. True to its name, the game's theme is office-based, from the card girl on the copier to the two embattled office drones.

"It's not your standard, passive advertising experience," says Mike Wolfsohn, Creative Director at Ignited Minds. "People are spending upwards of 10 minutes playing the game, far exceeding the time they spend watching a TV spot or reading a print ad. And the game experience is a great reflection of the Ultimate Fighter 2 viewing experience: it's competitive, it's fun and it's unpredictable. When consumers find the advertising entertaining, they have to assume the show will be to."

Although the site has been only been live for 10 days, it has already played host to more than 25,000 office warriors. The Ultimate Fighter 2 premieres August 22 at 11:05 p.m.
