iGR Announces New Wireless & Mobile Webinars Focused on 5G and IoT

Free Webinars Will Occur Monthly During the Second Quarter of 2016

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - March 23, 2016) -  iGR, a market research consultancy focused on the wireless and mobile industry, is pleased to announce additional webinars in its Webinar Series. The three free monthly webinars will focus on two timely Wireless and Mobile topics: 5G and IoT. The webinars will be presented by Iain Gillott, the president of iGR and one of the wireless industry's leading analysts.

Following is the list of topics, as well as the date and time for each. These webinars are free and may be registered for individually using the following links.

5G: Connections and Bandwidth  -- Thursday, April 14th, 1pm CDT

iGR has built a model to show the opportunities for 5G (IMT-2020) networks in each region of the world, in terms of both 5G connection growth and the amount of network bandwidth likely to be required. This webinar will examine the assumptions in the model, how iGR expects the IMT-2020 markets to develop and the services that consumers and enterprises can expect to see in 2021 and beyond.

IoT: The Opportunity for Low Power Networks  -- Thursday, May 19th, 1pm CST

Not all IoT devices and applications need high bandwidth networks. To address the network needs of lower bandwidth and low power consumption, low power wide area mobile networks are now being designed and deployed, including Ingenu's RPMA, Sigfox and LoRaWan. Low power LTE is planned for Release 12. This session will look at the benefits of Low Power Networks for IoT, the opportunities and challenges, and the outlook for the market in the next few years.

5G: The Economics of a New Generation  -- Thursday, June 16th, 1pm CST

While much has been written about the potential new applications and services that will be supported by 5G IMT-2020 networks, little has been said about the economics of the new networks. iGR has researched the potential costs for the new networks, forecasting the capital expenses out to 2026. This webinar will look at the potential revenues likely to be available to support that new 5G investment and which application and services are likely to be the most lucrative.

More information on these webinars, as well as easy registration, can be found on iGR's website. Alternatively, contact Iain Gillott at Iain@iGR-inc.com for additional details.
