IHOP's Strawberry Treats Sweeten the Season

New Strawberry Festival Available for a Limited Time Only

GLENDALE, CA--(Marketwire - April 27, 2009) - Just as April showers are bringing May flowers, IHOP, one of America's favorite restaurants, is springing into the season with its latest delectable limited time offer, new Strawberry Festival. Now through June, three IHOP treats are topped with the season's sweetest flavor, and guests can enjoy sweet strawberry crepes, pancakes and new strawberry stuffed French toast at participating IHOPs.

Served a la carte or a part of a combo that includes eggs any style, golden hash browns, and a choice of pork sausage links, crisp bacon or ham, guests can choose from the following irresistible strawberry indulgences:

-- Sweet Strawberry Crepe: A delicate egg batter crepe filled with sweet cream cheese and strawberries. Crowned with glazed strawberries, cream cheese icing and creamy whipped topping.

-- Sweet Strawberry Pancakes: Two fluffy buttermilk pancakes crowned with glazed strawberries, cream cheese icing and creamy whipped topping.

-- Strawberry Stuffed French Toast: Warm cinnamon raisin French toast stuffed with strawberry cream cheese filling. Crowned with cool strawberries, powdered sugar and creamy whipped topping.

"Sweet, juicy strawberries symbolize the start of summer, and we're pleased to offer guests an early 'entrée' into the season with our latest limited time offer," said Carolyn O'Keefe, IHOP's senior vice president, marketing.

A 2007 study from The California Strawberry Commission confirmed what many taste buds know, that strawberries are the favorite fruit of both kids and adults alike. And, over the last 50 years, more than 155 million pounds of sweet strawberry glaze have topped IHOP treats -- enough to fill 1,570 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

IHOP's new Strawberry Festival dishes start at $4.99. Pricing may vary by location. Visit to find an IHOP restaurant near you.
