IIT Kharagpur's Vinod Gupta School of Management Sees Jump in CTC to Rs 14.01 lakh for Final Placements

KHARAGPUR, INDIA --(Marketwired - May 12, 2016) - The batch of 2014-16 at IIT Kharagpur's Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) has completed final placements with a 14.18% jump in average CTC compared to the previous year. The 102-strong batch achieved 100% placements with an average CTC of Rs 14.01 lakh and a highest CTC of Rs 21.17 lakh.

Despite batch strength almost doubling from last year, 98% of the students were placed in the first phase of placements. There were a number of dream offers made this season and the PPI/PPO conversion was also close to 90%.

Companies participating in the placements included Amazon, Google, Accenture Strategy, Tata Motors, National Instruments, Titan Company Ltd., Deloitte, PWC, IBM, Virtusa, Cognizant Business Consulting, Rolls Royce, ZS Associates, McKinsey Solutions, Oracle, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Inspirage, Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd and Juspay to name a few.

Niche profiles were offered across domains and functions such as Senior Business Consultant, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Strategy & Operations, Supply Chain Consulting, Program Manager, Manager- Sales & Marketing, Manager- Strategy & Planning, Financial Analyst, Account Manager, Purchasing Manager, Technology Consultant and Supply Chain Consultant.

This apart, the Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) also wrapped up the summer placements for the batch of 2015-17. As many as 24 companies visited the campus for the first time. The average compensation has also seen an increase of 30% and a total of 97 offers were made to the batch.

Average stipend was Rs 76,880, highest domestic stipend was Rs 1,50,000 and highest international stipend was Rs.5,00,000 for the batch 2015-17. It was the first time that international summer internship was offered at the Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM). Prominent among the companies to have participated in the process are Accenture, BCG, Titan Company Ltd., National Instruments, Nomura, Wipro, PWC, Maersk Line, McCain, Myntra.com, ABP, Spencer's, BlueStar, Tiger Analytics, IBM, Capgemini, Crisil, Siemens, Polaris, BenQ and Bharat Petroleum to name a few.
