Ikona Ships Drawworks to United States

This Shipment Forms Part of an Order for $1.7 Million

COQUITLAM, BC--(Marketwire - November 19, 2007) - Ikona Gear International, Inc. (OTCBB: IKGI) ("Ikona"), a provider in compact, lightweight, gearing systems solutions, today announced that it has shipped its first 1000 HP drawworks to a U.S. customer.

This shipment forms part of a multiple unit order for a total of $1.7 Million. Ikona expects to ship one drawworks each month until the order is completed.

"This is a major achievement to design and build these drawworks in such a short period of time," said Ikona CEO Laith Nosh. "Furthermore the company is pleased to see the continued expansion in its production capabilities, having this month successfully delivered an additional drawworks to another existing customer."

A drawworks is the hoisting mechanism on a drilling rig that spools off or takes in the drilling line, and thus raises or lowers the drill stem and bit. This new drawworks model expands the Ikona oil and gas product line to include the 1000 HP drawworks. Drilling rigs using the 1000 HP drawworks are one of the most commonly used rigs in the oil and gas industry. The drawworks price range per unit is between $350,000 and $1.5 Million.

About Ikona Gear International, Inc.

Ikona Gear is focused on the design and manufacture of innovative and patented solutions for gearing and power transmission applications, a $100 billion market. The Ikona gear system is better, stronger, more precise and generally superior to standard gearing systems. The company's unique, patented technology is ideally suited for deep ratio, weight and size constrained applications where often it is the only solution. The Ikona gear technology is the only technology that enables internal gear-sets with only one tooth difference, resulting in a much higher meshing of gears, and significantly higher gear ratios -- very important factors, especially in plastic gearing solutions. Ikona trades on the Over the Counter market under the symbol "IKGI" and on the Frankfurt Exchange under the symbol "IG2." For more information on Ikona, please visit
