Ikona to Exhibit at the Offshore Technology Conference

COQUITLAM, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 23, 2007 --Ikona Gear International, Inc. (OTCBB: IKGI), an innovator in compact, lightweight, gearing systems solutions, announced today that it will be exhibiting its products for the oil and gas industry at the 2007 Offshore Technology Conference being held April 30 through May 3 at the Reliant Center in Houston, Texas. The company will be in Booth 7106.

Held annually since 1969, the Offshore Technology Conference is the world's foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection.

Ikona's Executive Vice President, Joe Vosburgh will attend the Offshore Technology Conference, along with Ikona's Vice President of Business Development, Vladimir Scekic. Conference visitors are invited to meet with Ikona's senior management team and view animated presentations and demonstration of Ikona products at the company's booth.

"We have made significant progress in the introduction of our product line to the oil and gas industry in Canada and the U.S.," commented Ikona Gear CEO and President Laith Nosh. "Our compact, lightweight products present a small footprint on the drilling platform and a considerable reduction to a drilling company's capital equipment budget. Their innovative, self-contained design requires little maintenance, making them perfect products for the corrosive offshore drilling environment."

The Offshore Technology Conference ranks among the largest of 200 trade shows held annually in the U.S. More than 2,000 companies participate in the exhibition, which was attended last year by approximately 60,000 exploration and production professionals from around the world. The exhibition spotlights the newest and most advanced technologies marketed to the oil and gas industry.

Ikona's lead products for the oil and gas industry, mud pump drives and drawworks, weigh 40 to 50 percent less than competitive products and offer customers the ability to enhance and extend their product lines.

Ikona's MPD 1100 Series 1- and 2-speed mud pump drives facilitate the desired speed and power of the drilling rig mud pump and produce the required flow and pressure for powering the drilling head. The company's 2-speed drawworks provide the operator with enhanced lifting capacity, improved maneuvering at high speed, and the required power for heavy lifts.
