Arnold Schwarzenegger and Angela Merkel, got their hands on NETGEAR's latest products at CeBIT 2009 this week. The Governor of California and German Chancellor met with NETGEAR executives as the leading networking and storage vendor announced the launch of its new online back-up and disaster-recovery service for consumers and small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The ReadyNAS Vault is an easy-to-use, cost-effective online back-up service and the industry's first device-integrated cloud back-up solution. The ReadyNAS Vault software is built into all NETGEAR ReadyNAS storage products, so there is no need to install licenses, clients or agents. Any ReadyNAS product can automatically back-up and restore data using a secure online data centre. All stored content is centrally located on an online console so managing multiple locations and jobs is now much simpler for consumers, business administrators and resellers.

Mark Power, Managing Director, NETGEAR UK, commented: "It is fantastic to have such high profile personalities visit our stand at the show. It's exciting to see such positive role models who clearly recognise the increasing demand for technology, particularly within the storage and consumer entertainment markets."

NETGEAR executives also discussed NETGEAR's Internet TV Player 2000 (pictured above) with the Californian Governor and German Chancellor.

The Internet TV Player (ITV2000) is a compact, "plug-in and go" Internet set-top device with a simple remote control that enables consumers to easily catch-up on the world of Internet videos. Rather than being limited to watching videos on computer screens, the ITV2000 enables families to watch Internet content on their TVs from the comfort of their living rooms.
