Illinois Technology Association (ITA) Congratulates midVentures 25 and Winner G2.fm

ITA Support Venture Through Sponsorship of Event Space and Production Services

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 17, 2010) -  The Illinois Technology Association (ITA) congratulates midVentures 25, a tech startup demo day and pitch contest founded by Jonathan Pasky, Geoff Domoracki, and the midVentures team. This inaugural event was Chicago's first outlet to connect home-grown emerging-growth startup companies to thought leaders and investors and was made possible by the ITA sponsorship providing event space and production services.

The event was held on March 11, 2010 in downtown Chicago and was attended by over 500 entrepreneurs, investors, VCs and members of the Midwest tech community. The space and event planning support was provided to midVentures 25 by the ITA. ITA is actively involved in highlighting the growing technology industry in Illinois. From logistics such as assisting with space and administrative needs to host events like midVentures 25 to providing peer-to-peer progressive collaboration, ITA builds the technology ecosystem in Illinois.

ITA serves the interests of entrepreneurs, innovation workers, students, and our member companies through progressive collaboration, accelerating the realization of success. For more information about the ITA, please visit www.illinoistech.org.

The panel of judges selected five finalists, which included bln.kr, G2.fm, Genlighten, JoeMetric, and Watermelon Express. The winner, G2.fm, is an online community where bands/artists share music and connect with the venues and fans. G2.fm has revolutionized artist application management for live music venues, saving artists time and money, while creating new revenue streams for member partners.
