ImageWare Systems GoMobile Interactive Receives Top CTIA Emerging Technology Award

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 12, 2014) - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (OTCQB: IWSY) (IWS), a leader in mobile and cloud-based, multi-modal biometric identity management solutions, has received the CTIA-The Wireless Association® Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Award for its GoMobile Interactive™ (GMI) product, taking first place in the Mobile Money, Payments, Banking & Commerce category.

The award was announced at the CTIA 'Super Mobility Week' trade show, where more than 50 industry experts, analysts and media examined and scored the nearly 300 entries across CTIA's three programs to determine the finalists and winners.

GoMobile Interactive is a cloud-based, multi-modal biometric mobile identity management solution that enables unparalleled identity verification for existing and new mobile banking, mobile wallet and other mobile applications that require a next-generation method to automate and verify the identity of the customer.

GMI ensures fraud protection to at-risk legacy services and verifies user transactions securely and quickly by replacing unsecure, vulnerable usernames, passwords and pin-codes with voice, facial, palm, finger and iris recognition, among others. It also brings U.S. government-hardened and tested high-end security to an increasingly mobile world.

"Worldwide mobile payments are expected to become a $400 billion market by 2015," noted Jim Miller, chairman and CEO of ImageWare. "By offering the industry's first biometrically enabled mobile identity management platform, ImageWare is able to spearhead a growing security concern for banking, retail and other financial service enterprises across the globe. We are honored to be recognized among the top of these innovative companies at the CTIA, which validates for both current and prospective customers that GMI is best-in-class for meeting their identity management needs."
