On the Energy & Power Industry Briefing Panel will be Claude Nahon, EDF Group's executive vice president for sustainable development and the former head of hydro and renewable energies at EDF, and Ketil Wig, founder and chairman of Rokade AS (IMAP Norway). Wig, who has worked in international M&A for nearly 30 years, leads the firm's international M&A practice through IMAP and also chairs IMAP's Energy & Power industry group. IMAP's Richard Wottrich, who has managed more than 200 M&A transactions, many of them in the energy and power sector, will serve as moderator.

The Food & Beverage Industry Briefing Panel will include Jean-Louis Ruatti, the president of Agro Invest, a company that aims to assist or encourage the emergence of "champions" in the agri-food and agro-industry, and Philippe Craninx, managing partner with Winx Capital House NV/SA (IMAP Belgium), who has served as a consultant in corporate finance and M&A since 1987 and specializes in the food and beverage industry. James Regan, a business reporter with Thomson Reuters Paris, will serve as the panel's moderator.

The Information Technology Industry Briefing Panel will include Gregoire Cayatte, head of corporate finance and investor relations at Devoteam, the leading information and communications technologies consulting company in Europe; Antonin Baudry, senior equity analyst at HSBC in charge of the European IT services and software sector; and Carl Houghton, a partner and senior transaction advisor with Clearwater Corporate Finance (IMAP U.K.) and chair of IMAP's Information Technology Group.

These industry briefing panels may be joined by other executive-level representatives of major industry corporations that are active in the M&A market, analysts from large banks that cover the respective industries, and senior M&A transaction advisors who specialize in these sectors. The panelists will provide remarks relative to current industry dynamics.

The symposium will be attended by senior-level delegates from private equity groups, corporate development officers, global M&A attorneys and M&A transaction advisers from more than 30 countries. This is the third international M&A symposium sponsored by IMAP; in 2009, it hosted symposiums in Los Angeles and Istanbul. In 2011, it plans to present symposiums in New York City (March 31) and Madrid (October).

Previously, IMAP announced the speakers for the symposium's main panel: Gonzague de Blignieres, co-president of Barclays Private Equity Europe; Scott Berman, managing director and senior transaction advisor with Morgan Joseph (IMAP New York); Pierre Bosset, head of research for HSBC Securities; and Carlos Méndez-Peñate, a shareholder with Akerman Senterfitt, one of the world's leading law firms. The main panel will discuss "The Global M&A Industry 2010." Julien Ponthus, a journalist with Thomson Reuters, will moderate the panel, which will focus on evaluating and optimizing cross-border collaboration in today's global business environment.

The Paris symposium will be hosted by Societex, IMAP's French firm. Thomson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals; Capgemini, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services; and the global law firm Akerman Senterfitt are co-sponsoring the event. To register for the symposium, view a schedule of events or make hotel reservations, visit www.imapconferences.com.
