iMedix Appoints Prof. Yuval Shahar to Head Its Medical Search Technology

Top Medical Informatics Professor Will Lead the Development of Next-Generation Health Search Engine

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 24, 2008) - iMedix, a community-powered health search engine, announced today that Prof. Yuval Shahar will lead its medical search technology efforts. Shahar has been involved in the development of the iMedix health search technology since early 2007.

Prof. Shahar is the head of the Medical Informatics Research Center at Ben Gurion University, and has more than 20 years of experience in advanced health-information retrieval and application of artificial intelligence technologies to the healthcare domain.
