IMG Signs Chef Daniel Boulud for Exclusive Worldwide Management and Representation

Chef-Owner of Ten Award Winning Restaurants, Author and TV Personality Partners With IMG to Pursue New Business Opportunities to Expand His Brand

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 20, 2010) - IMG Worldwide today announced that internationally acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud signed with IMG for exclusive management and representation on a worldwide basis for marketing, endorsements, speaking, broadcasting, licensing and merchandising. Initiatives will include national, regional and local endeavors.

Some highlights of Boulud's culinary accomplishments include James Beard Foundation awards for 'Outstanding Restaurateur,' 'Best Chef of New York City' and 'Outstanding Chef of the Year.' His flagship restaurant DANIEL has been named one of the ten best restaurants in the world by the International Herald Tribune, received a coveted four star rating from the New York Times and three from the prestigious Michelin Guide.

Daniel Boulud is Chef-Owner of ten award-winning restaurants and the Feast & Fête catering company. He began his career in Lyon, France, where he was raised and where his passion for using only local seasonal ingredients in cooking began.

After training under renowned Chefs including Roger Vergé, Georges Blanc and Michel Guérard in France and Copenhagen Boulud yearned to expand his culinary horizons and migrated to the United States.

His first position here was as Chef to The European Commission in Washington, DC. Next, Daniel opened the Polo Lounge at The Westbury Hotel and later Le Régence at the Hotel Plaza Athenée in New York City. From 1986 to 1992, Daniel served as Executive Chef at New York's Le Cirque. During his tenure there, the restaurant was regularly chosen as one of the most highly rated in the country.

In 1993, Daniel Boulud opened his own restaurant DANIEL on Manhattan's Upper East Side. With the great success of DANIEL, he has since opened Café Boulud, DB Bistro Moderne, Bar Boulud and DBGB Kitchen. In addition, he and his restaurant management company, The Dinex Group, created and continue to manage Café Boulud in Palm Beach, Fl and Daniel Boulud Brasserie at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort. He recently opened two restaurants in Vancouver and is expecting to launch two more new restaurant's internationally in 2010.

In addition, Chef Boulud launched his own "Daniel Boulud CONNOISSEUR" line of Caspian caviar and smoked Scottish salmon, a line of professional quality kitchenware called Daniel Boulud Kitchen (DBK), has authored six culinary-themed books and has starred as host in his own television series, "After Hours with Daniel," for three seasons.
