IMPACT Conference Returns to Support Growth for Purpose Driven Enterprises in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Aug. 26, 2015) - Spring Activator is proud to present the 2nd Annual IMPACT Conference on Wednesday, September 23, the cornerstone social innovation event of Vancouver Startup Week 2015, where purpose, profit, and technology combine to become a powerful force for change. The conference theme "Good Growth" is about acknowledging, celebrating, and showing entrepreneurs how to achieve rapid business growth while keeping their core values and vision at the heart of that growth.

IMPACT attracted over 250 social innovation-hungry attendees last year and because of its success is expected to almost double in size this year. Keith Ippel, CEO of Spring, the Vancouver-based entrepreneur support organization leading the event, is particularly excited about this event. "Vancouver, as a global centre of innovation, has seen a significant increase of tech companies focusing on creating social good over the past years. These companies are entering their growth stage and we want to provide them with the tools, resources, and inspiration to scale their enterprises with purpose and profit in mind."

The event is also attracting social impact investors from across North America, and participants will have opportunities throughout the day to rub shoulders with investors, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs supporting the growth of social enterprises. "It's an exciting time to be involved in B.C.'s growing social impact sector. Community leaders are taking new approaches to solving complex social issues - and measuring their success on how their work changes society for the better," said Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation, Michelle Stilwell, who will be speaking at IMPACT in 2015.

Event supporters include sponsors RBC, Lawson Lundell, Vancouver Economic Commission, and Dentons; organizing partners Social Bites, Sauder Centre for Social Innovation & Impact Investing, the HIVE, and KB Creative Lab. Tickets for the full day event start at $88 and include all speaking events, networking opportunities, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For more information visit: www.vanimpact.com
