Impax Announces Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - June 16, 2009) - Impax Energy Services Income Trust ("Impax" or the "Trust") (TSX:MPX.UN) announces the appointment of Karim Hirji as the Chief Financial Officer as part of the senior management changes related to relocation of its head office from Toronto, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta. Mr. Hirji replaces Mr. Anderson who has stepped down as previously announced.

Mr. Hirji is an experienced finance professional, who brings to his new responsibilities over twenty years of experience in accounting and finance in the energy sector, including the oilfield services sector. The Board welcomes Mr. Hirji in his new capacity and looks forward to his contribution to the Trust in these challenging times.

The Trust wishes to thank Mr. John Anderson, former Chief Financial Officer for his contribution to the Trust over the past three years and wishes him success in his future endeavors.

Impax Energy Services Income Trust is an open-ended trust, providing oilfield services in western Canada. The Trust indirectly owns an approximate 72% interest in Impax Energy Services Master Limited Partnership, which indirectly acquired and now operates through its subsidiaries the businesses of McClelland Oilfield Rentals Limited Partnership, EGOC Enviro Group Limited Partnership, Denray Rathole Drilling Limited Partnership and Dwayne Hommy Trucking Limited Partnership.
