Impeva Labs Provides the First Continuous Tracking and Monitoring of Cargo via the Northern Route to Afghanistan

Impeva's Global Sentinel Is Selected to Provide Tracking and Monitoring for U.S. Cargo Bound for Afghanistan via Russian Territories

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - September 21, 2009) - Impeva Labs, Inc., the leading supplier of global asset management solutions, announced today that they are providing support for selected cargo bound for Afghanistan via the Northern Route. The solution involves placing Impeva Labs' Global Sentinel tags on selected intermodal containers moving over challenging multi-mode routes. Until now, the usual supply route to Afghanistan has been via Pakistan. On July 6, 2009, the Russian government authorized the United States to use Russian territories to transport supplies destined to support U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Immediately, the first Impeva device was deployed on a container carrying cargo traveling this new route.

The Global Sentinel tag is a smart device that provides continuous ubiquitous cargo tracking and monitoring from anywhere in the world using ultra-secure, least-cost data routing via cellular and Iridium satellite. It is designed to operate in the most difficult environments and provide real-time actionable information. Impeva Labs has a long history of supporting transport operations for the Department of Defense (DoD) and providing "first of a kind" solutions. This most recent work is further validation of the state of the art Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) solutions developed by Impeva Labs and the true value of employing a solution designed for continuous cargo tracking and monitoring.

Impeva Labs is unique in the market as the only provider that can deliver a "smarter" solution with hundreds of remotely reconfigurable operating rules on each device allowing immediate event reporting, like route deviation, and actionable event-driven information versus volumes of useless data. "Smarter" data reporting equates to lower life-cycle costs for AIT services. The combination of these elements makes the solutions from Impeva Labs a perfect fit for the operations within the DoD. Currently, solutions from Impeva Labs are supporting several DoD operational supply chains in rigorous and demanding environments to include: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan and Kuwait.

Tony Moroyan, President and CEO of Impeva Labs, said: "Many supply chain operations in support of U.S. troops rely on the unique capabilities of Impeva Labs' AIT services for the success of their critical missions. Our solutions improve the dependability, speed and efficiency of delivering critical cargo to U.S. troops stationed around the world. Impeva Labs provides customers with the flexibility necessary to rapidly adapt to the ever-changing global environments."
