Impinj Partners With The Coca-Cola Company on Revolutionary Beverage Dispenser

RFID-Enabled Dispenser Sets New Industry Standards for Innovation, Convenience and Efficiency

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - August 18, 2009) - Leading UHF Gen 2 radio frequency identification (RFID) technology provider Impinj, Inc. today announced a partnership with The Coca-Cola Company to provide critical RFID technology supporting its new Coca-Cola Freestyle™ beverage dispensing system. More than four years in planning, the revolutionary dispensing platform's design utilizes both Impinj Monza™ tag chips and Indy™ reader chips, which together provide the core RFID capability of the system. We are pleased to be a key partner with The Coca-Cola Company in its development," said William T. Colleran, Ph.D., president and CEO of Impinj. "We believe the dispenser provides value to the consumer by offering a wider range of beverage choices, and value to Coca-Cola by significantly improving operational efficiency and imparting useful consumer research."
