Implant Sciences Appoints Bruce Bower as Senior Vice President

Brings 25 Years of Global High-Tech Sales Leadership

WILMINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2010) - Implant Sciences Corporation (PINKSHEETS: IMSC) a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security and defense markets, today announced the appointment of Bruce Bower into the newly created position of Senior Vice President. In this position, Mr. Bower will lead Implant Sciences' marketing and sales efforts.

Mr. Bower has more than 25 years of sales, sales management, marketing and executive management experience with technology companies selling hardware and software solutions to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Prior to joining Implant Sciences he was Vice President, Sales and Marketing and then promoted to President and CEO of Teloquent Communications, a computer software company. Previous to Teloquent, Mr. Bower served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and later promoted to President and CEO for MultiLink, a telecommunications company. He also held Sales Management, Product Management, and General Management positions with ROLM and IBM. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
