Implant Sciences Signs New Distributors in Canada and Brazil

Two of the Largest Security Markets in the World

WILMINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - Apr 25, 2011) - Continuing the rapid build-out of its global sales and distribution channels, Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC) (PINKSHEETS: IMSC), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security markets, today announced the addition of distributors in two of the Americas' largest markets, Canada and Brazil. Military and defense spending in 2010 were an estimated $20 billion in Canada and $28 billion in Brazil.

In Canada, Implant Sciences has signed R. Nicholls Distributors, Inc., which has served the Canadian military and law enforcement markets for 30 years. R. Nicholls is a leading provider of over 50 products, with a staff of approximately 200, and annual sales of over CAD$50 million. The company is a member of numerous organizations including the Canadian Defense Industry Association.

Implant Sciences has also signed a distribution agreement in Brazil with Ormax Technologia en Seguranca, a division of Intelabs Technologies, a large industrial group that has been focused in security equipment manufacture and sales for 20 years to customers in government and private industry. Ormax is one of the leading companies in the security market, manufacturing and distributing a diversified line of products in access control, police intelligence, night vision and other security applications. Ormax has a network providing technical support, marketing and after-sales service.

"Our participation in a key trade mission to Brazil in 2010 was a step towards establishing strong distribution channels there. Combined with Canada, the two markets have an aggregate of $48 billion annually in military and defense spending. As our revenues continue to grow, we are already reaping the benefits of focusing on building our channel partners, and our market presence is increasing worldwide," stated Implant Sciences CEO, Glenn Bolduc.
