Import/Export Beauchamp International Inc. Receives $267,500 in Funding From Government of Canada to Build Production Facility

CANDIAC, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 23, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announces the awarding of $267,500 in repayable funding to Import/Export Beauchamp International Inc. in Candiac for the acquisition of production equipment for a new line of aromatic products.

"The Government of Canada supports innovative companies committed to developing products and services aimed at opening new export markets," commented Minister Lebel.

Import/Export Beauchamp International Inc. specializes in the commercialization of aromatic products, chemicals and essential oils in North America. Through an agreement with the Norwegian firm, Borregaard, the Candiac firm is now the exclusive producer and distributor of Vanillin plus in America, a move that consolidates its position in this niche. The company will build a new facility to house the equipment needed to produce Vanillin plus and other oils and aromas now only available through imports.

The funding from Canada Economic Development has been awarded through the Business and Regional Growth program, which is designed to reinforce the conditions conducive to the sustainable growth of Quebec's SMEs.
