Event Raises Over $450,000 for Larkin Street Youth Services, Helping Homeless and At-Risk Youth in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 31, 2012) - Last night at the Seventh Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards, the 2012 winners in six award categories were announced. Over 550 business leaders and executives attended the dinner and awards ceremony at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco to honor Bay Area CFOs. The celebration recognized this year's 17 CFO finalists and winners and honored Lifetime Achievement Award winner Sharon McCollam, retired Director, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. In addition, 10 CFO of the Year winners from previous years joined in celebrating their fellow CFOs.

The over $450,000 raised this year for Larkin Street Youth Services brings the cumulative total to over $2.75 million since the first CFO of the Year event in 2006. The funds support Larkin Street, which for 28 years has served homeless and at-risk youth in San Francisco through its comprehensive programs in outreach, housing, medical and social services, education, and job assistance.

"I am sincerely honored to receive this award and be recognized alongside such a distinguished group of financial leaders. I am equally honored to share this recognition with all of the dedicated and inspiring people I have worked with and been supported by over the years," said McCollam. "I am also grateful that throughout my career, I have had the privilege and opportunity to work with amazing philanthropic organizations like Larkin Street Youth Services. Larkin Street saves lives every day by providing invaluable support to homeless and at-risk youth in our community, and I couldn't be more proud to accept this award at an event that celebrates their contributions and successes."
