In Resort Services - Cleaning Up The Skiing Market

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 20, 2006) - The nights are drawing in, the weather is getting colder and many people start to dread the prospect of the long winter ahead..... But not skiers and snow-boarders! They are busy flicking through holiday brochures, wondering if one-pieces will EVER be fashionable again, and excitedly humming 'Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....'

But when is a holiday a holiday? Are we still having a proper break if we have to do our own shopping, carrying, cooking, cleaning, making beds on arrival, child care, driving etc?

Entrepreneur Richard Evans has seen a gap in the market for holiday makers who really do want a holiday. His company 'In Resort Services', based in Le Grand Massif area of France, does the things that holiday makers don't want to do and other holiday companies don't even offer. Richard says "we're finding that skiers are happy to spend just a little bit more on top of the cost of their self-catering holiday to get so much more out of their week away. What starts as a basic apartment holiday, having to do everything yourself, we can turn into a luxury break from all the chores."

In the past, welcome packs and post-holiday cleaning were often included in the price of a self catering holiday but these days with the industry getting increasingly competitive, corners have been cut and In Resort Services are providing a service to restore the holiday to what it should be - a holiday.

Many skiers choose self-catered accommodation for their holiday, but whilst they may like the freedom and flexibility that this option offers, it doesn't necessarily mean that they want all the attendant hassles, like queuing for lift passes or humping bags of shopping through the snow and ice only to discover later that they've forgotten the loo paper, or worse - the beers!

Richard agrees that they're targeting the upper end of the market but doesn't think that he's encouraging laziness "Most people work hard for 48 weeks of the year, what's wrong with having a proper break when you do manage to get away from the office? Instead of booking a sumptuous 5 star hotel our clients can save money by booking self catering but then pick and choose whichever add-on services they'd like, we're happy to be their servants for as little as an hour or as long as a whole week!"

In Resort Services' clients can either pre-order products, such as grocery packs, drinks, lift passes, ski hire, lessons and linen or they can make a call when they're in resort to book après ski activities or to order a service like "Alpine Dine" where chefs will give holiday makers the "eating out" experience in their own apartment.

From finding accommodation to end-of-stay cleaning and everything in between, the In Resort Services team seems to have thought of everything. There is just one thing out of their control ..........

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.........
