In Solidarity With NaNoWriMo, HubPages Announces the HubPatron of the Arts Contest

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 1, 2011) - In support of the vision behind the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and in solidarity with HubPages' impressive community of poets, fiction writers, and artists, HubPages today announced the HubPatron of the Arts contest (, where writers, poets and photographers are invited to submit their original, unpublished work and win over $3000 in prizes.

"The HubPatron of the Arts Contest is the latest in our ongoing effort to help writers of all levels understand and master the rules of writing and publishing online."

There are three contest categories: prose, poetry and photos, with prizes of $500, $100, and $50 for the three finalists in each category. The final winner will additionally have the option of having their work formatted, published and distributed by Smashwords. Also, from November 1 to November 22, one randomly selected winner from all of the day's eligible entries will win $50 per day. Entries may be submitted on Tuesday, November 1, at 12:00 p.m. PT and the final deadline for entry is Tuesday, November 22, at 12:00 p.m. PT.
