Inaugural (and Virtual) Praxis Roundtable Set for September 25, 2007

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 19, 2007) - Praxis ( will launch a series of virtual roundtables in SecondLife on Tuesday, September 25th, in its virtual office located there. Members of the media and others are invited to RSVP. Dress your avatar for the occasion.

The topic will be Strategic Issues for Corporations Entering SecondLife.

"Watching someone or something with hair color that traverses the light spectrum in seconds can be distracting while discussing strategy," explained Mr. Roberts, a Praxis LLP partner, "but it makes for a lively discussion."

Praxis LLP is the first transactional and intellectual property law firm from California with an office in SecondLife. Its consulting affiliate, The Praxis Advisory Group, shares the virtual office. Both firms will co-host this inaugural roundtable.

Praxis hosts roundtables in the "real" world, but this is a first for the firm. "It's a natural extension for us to launch a roundtable series in SecondLife, even if we have a few half human and half beast avatars, or for that matter, all beast," Mr. Roberts said, referring to the "unusual" nature of some participants. Michael Leventhal, another partner in the law firm, concurs. "SecondLife participants are nonetheless serious in these discussions." The next roundtable, in October, will focus on licensing principles for non-lawyers.

The roundtable will run from noon to 2 PM PDT on September 25th. To receive an invitation, please contact Ms. Liza Hartung, Director of First Impressions, at or at (310) 383-7287. Mr. Roberts can be reached at or at (310) 480-8279. You can find him in SecondLife under "Blackstone Bracken."

In SecondLife Praxis members use first names related to law or strategy. "Blackstone Bracken," Mr. Roberts' avatar, refers to William Blackstone, a jurist. Mr. Leventhal uses "Marbury Bracken," referring to a legal case. No one has thought of a clever name for strategy.
