Inaugural Sage Summit Spells Success for Sage Customers in San Diego

Leading Industry Speakers, Informative Educational Sessions, Hands-On Labs, Dynamic Tradeshow and Networking Opportunities Highlights of Conference Agenda

IRVINE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 16, 2005 -- The recent Sage Summit in San Diego marked the first time that Sage customer conferences across the company's North American product lines were combined into a unified 3-day event and drew more than 2,500 attendees from across North America. This initial gathering of Sage Software customers enabled attendees to network, gain insight to better utilize their software and hear about industry and business trends affecting their organizations.

"Summit is a great learning experience," said Towner Blackstock, Manager with CIS, based in Charlotte, NC, and an attendee of previous Timberline customer conferences. "It puts you in direct contact with experts and your peers. Where else can you see the many facets of Sage Software, learn about your software and new products, and have a great time! Sage knows how to make a conference like this enjoyable and worthwhile."

Opening with a keynote from Dr. Stephen Covey, the renowned author of "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," the conference closed with a luncheon address from John Cassis, who spoke about the challenge of balancing work and personal life. The 3-day event was filled with hundreds of educational sessions focused on industry trends, product tips, and sharing of best practices.

"We were thrilled with the turnout at this year's Summit and the feedback we have received from our customers who attended," said Nina Smith, Chief Marketing Officer, Sage Software. "Listening to and responding to our customers' feedback is critical to us, and Summit provides us with a great forum to do that."

Session tracks were organized by products, business needs and industries so customers could learn about relevant issues impacting their industry segment and explore other software tools to improve their organizations' operations. Each track featured speakers from media partner organizations, who shared their insights during keynote sessions. Media sponsors included 1 to 1, BNA Payroll Administrative Guide, ENR, HR Magazine, Inc., Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Property Management, Manufacturing Business Technology and the NonProfit Times.

"As the result of attending the Sage Summit and engaging with Sage personnel in the sessions, in the lab, and at the sales booths, I can rest assured about our ACCPAC investment, the extension possibilities we can take advantage of, and the bright future our accounting system will provide," said Steve Ehrlinger, Chief Financial Officer, Environmental Communication, Manhattan Beach, CA. "Ginger Conlon's CRM session confirmed our thinking about Sage as a customer-centric organization and the value of investing in a CRM solution like Sage ACCPAC CRM to build a broad cultural approach to serving all of our customers."

In addition to educational sessions and networking opportunities, attendees had access to hands-on product activities in a lab environment, including the Sage Summit Support Center, where they were able to interact one-on-one with product technical experts. 800 attendees took advantage of the service to get in-depth advice on how to better use their Sage Software products.

According to Alain Lavallee, of the DuraGroup, "The best part of Summit for me was the Support Center. Through it, I had access to one-on-one interaction with an efficient support specialist, who answered my questions and gave me excellent tips to use my software more effectively when I got back to my office. Our company's president has already agreed to our presence at the next Summit. With the knowledge gained at this Summit, we consider it as a must to maximize our software investment."

Attendees also had access to the tradeshow floor throughout the 3-day conference, gaining additional insights from the 109 exhibitors.

"The Summit conference was a great way to work with Sage customers and get some really solid feedback about how our products can help them," said Mickey Kupchyk, President of Stonefield Systems, developer of Stonefield Query reporting tools and an exhibitor at the tradeshow. "I demonstrated our Query product to more SalesLogix users in 2 hours than I'd been able to reach in the last 2 years. Now we're looking at expanding our line to support even more Sage products."
