Inaugural South Asian Healthcare Leadership Forum to Be Held

Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide's Ritesh Patel an Invited Guest

PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwired - Nov 6, 2014) - Today a team of healthcare leaders announced a first-of-its-kind gathering, the inaugural South Asian Healthcare Leadership Forum (SAHLF), to be convened this coming Saturday, November 8, at Harvard University in Boston, MA.

The invitation-only SAHLF, co-sponsored by the Harvard South Asia Initiative, comprises the best and brightest in the South Asian healthcare community. SAHLF's mission for the event is two-fold: first, to formally bring together members of the South Asian community who have reached the highest positions of healthcare leadership in the realms of policy, business, academia, and clinical medicine; and second, to harness the influence these leaders can wield together within the healthcare arena as an established institute, ultimately championing positive changes and initiatives within the industry.

Ogilvy CommonHealth's US-based EVP, chief digital officer, Ritesh Patel, has been invited as a participating member of the forum.

Sachin H. Jain, a health policy lecturer at Harvard Medical School and a co-chair of the event, notes: "South Asians have risen to positions of leadership across healthcare. This forum is an opportunity to assemble the talents of the community to maximize their collective impact on healthcare delivery."

The other co-chairs are Aman Bhandari, who served as a senior advisor to former U.S. Chief Technology Officer Todd Park at the White House, and Vishal Arora, a Fulbright fellow pursing health services research.

Mr. Patel shared his enthusiasm at being invited to this exclusive forum. "I am so pleased to have this unique opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the foremost authorities in healthcare," he said. "Each individual in attendance is a leader in his or her field, and the prospect of what we might collectively accomplish from a public policy standpoint alone is extremely interesting and exciting to me."
