INBOX Becomes Karelab

A new name marking a new direction for the Quebec company specializing in employee recognition and engagement

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 10, 2014) - INBOX, a company specializing in the development and management of employee recognition and engagement programs, is changing its name to Karelab. This change is part of an important reorientation that began for the company in late 2012, when it decided to focus exclusively on employee recognition and engagement within large corporations.

A player in the web world since 2003, INBOX has been involved over the last few years in creating personalized recognition platforms and implementing customized strategies to increase employee engagement in large organizations. It became apparent that this is what INBOX does best. The company therefore undertook a major shift by ceasing its web production services and specializing in this rapidly evolving field. Today, driven by the same passion and determination, the company is proud to unveil a new name and image reflecting its new direction.

As INBOX was referring to a toolbox, a name change was in order. Today, Karelab does not limit itself to prefabricated tools or ready-made solutions. On the contrary, its strength lies in a personalized approach adapted to each client's needs in order to develop employee recognition and engagement strategies that concretely impact an organization's performance. The team's expertise and the customized social platform it creates permit implementation of the right tools to boost organizational performance and reduce costs related to absenteeism, turnover and issues of workplace health and safety - which have become a real challenge for today's organizations.

"The time had come to make a fresh start, and the name Karelab came naturally," explained Marc-André Lanciault, President and Chief Executive Officer at Karelab. "Our ultimate goal is to take care of people, hence the word 'care' - but with a 'k' to differentiate ourselves from the health sector. Each mandate we work on involves an in-depth analysis of the client's situation, performance indicators and business objectives in order to develop a custom solution, fresh out of our 'laboratory' - hence the 'lab' part of the name."

The company logo, combining the image of a heart with an arrow symbolizing performance was a succinct way of expressing the cause and effect situation that is at the heart of Karelab's work. Today, organizations know that highly-engaged employees provide better service and enrich the customer experience. This in turn helps to improve customer loyalty and increase revenues, while having an overall impact on corporate culture and employee happiness. As such, Karelab offers its clients comprehensive strategic and operational guidance to achieve both profitability and employee satisfaction.
