INC Research Rounds Out Pediatrics Team

Dr. Erik Deurell Brings Diverse Clinical Pediatrics Experience to Global CRO

RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwire - May 25, 2011) - INC Research, LLC, a therapeutically focused contract research organization (CRO) with a trusted process for delivering reliable results, today announced that it has appointed Erik Deurell, MD as medical director of Pediatrics, who is responsible for maintaining the scientific integrity of the CRO's pediatric clinical trials and providing medical oversight and therapeutic training to its project teams in the United States. He joins an accomplished pediatrics staff that provides full-service trial management support for pediatric trials globally.

An accomplished board certified pediatrician, Dr. Deurell comes to INC Research with 15 years of diverse clinical pediatric experience in the fields of emergency medicine, primary care, and neonatology. Prior to joining INC Research, Dr. Deurell served as vice president and physician at Sunshine Pediatrics, a pediatric clinic in Ontario, Oregon, where he was responsible for managing all strategic planning, operations, clinical administration, and alliance relations. His pediatric clinical research experience also includes cardiology, gastroenterology, and the human immunodeficiency virus. His MBA is in medical management and his operational experience has been in quality assurance and global project management. Dr. Deurell received his MD from Dartmouth Medical School, trained at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital and obtained his MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has also served as an associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
