Incorporation of Stand Alone Distillation Process at Mission Refineries Is Well Underway

SAN ANTONIO, TX--(Marketwire - October 19, 2010) -  Mission NewEnergy Limited (ASX: MBT), a vertically integrated biodiesel producer and one of the world's largest Jatropha plantation companies, announced today that it has received the first shipment of distillation column equipment at its refineries in Kuantan Port Malaysia. Servicing both Mission's refineries, M1 and M2, installation commenced in October 2010. The distillation column will allow Mission to increase the purity of the biodiesel and provide further refining flexibility to tailor product to different international markets and specifications. This is expected to increase the marketability of Mission's biodiesel around the globe.

With the distillation column in place Mission will be able to offer palm based biodiesel that exceeds the United States, ASTM D6751 quality standard. We expect this to create commercial opportunity for Mission, as historically, palm based biodiesel has enjoyed a cost advantage to soybean oil based biodiesel produced in the United States.

Nathan Mahalingham, Mission's Managing Director, said, "We are committed to meeting and exceeding the highest industry standards for biodiesel refining." Adding, "With this distillation column in place, Mission will be better positioned to meet future market demands and changes in specifications."
