This enormous sale features firearms dating back to the 1800s and an incredible showing of rare Civil War swords and saddles. This sale comes from the Wild West Museum Collection of Dan Hardesty, an avid collector of Old West material. Online buyers will not want to miss the opportunity to bid on featured items such as:

  • Lot 731: Buffalo Bill's Personal Show Jacket -- This leather jacket belonging to Buffalo Bill Cody was worn on his visit to Cornwall, England. It remains in impeccable condition.
  • Lot 1125: Wonderfully-Tooled Leather Western Saddle -- This saddle, marked "Western Champion" on silver pommel, once belonged to Tom Mix, famous western movie star. Includes bridle bit and breast band. Tapaderos have a fancy hand-tooled "M" on them lending more credence to the identification. Bridle seems to be unmarked. All three pieces with matching silver mounts.
  • Lot 1898: Early Volcanic Lever Action Repeating Navy Pistol -- Serial No. 140. This Early pre-Winchester Volcanic 8" Navy pistol is one of about 1,500 manufactured in 1856 - 1857. This pistol remains in wonderful condition albeit the barrel has been expertly restored but never over buffed and all the factory stamps are sharp and crisp. The brass retains a lovely dull appearance, the grips are near mint and most of the original factory fire blue remains on the screws. At first inspection, this gun appears to be in almost new condition. The hammer and lever have most of the softening case colors. The bore is in near mint condition with no pitting and strong as new rifling. The gun operates as it did when new and is as tight as a drum. Chambered in standard 41 caliber. A simply marvelous early pistol that would be a crown jewel in any collection.

"Many items in this sale are only available to buy once in a collector's lifetime," Dan Morphy, President and Founder of Morphy Auctions, said. "There are very few opportunities to own items like Geronimo's knife or relics from the Civil War. These pieces have such rich history and won't be seen for sale again anytime soon."
